Dr. Liu is looking for self-motivated students who are interested in the areas of Cybersecurity and Internet of Things, including protocol design, app development, and performance analysis.

Students who are already enrolled at Lamar University

• Currently, Dr. Liu offers RA positions for graduate students and individual study and project for students who are interested in Undergraduate Research.

• If you are currently working with another professor at Lamar University, please do NOT contact Dr. Liu except co-advising cases.

• Dr. Liu is available to advise new M.S. Thesis students and co-advise DoE students.

• If you are interested in working on research projects held in our labs, please email Dr. Liu (xliu@lamar.edu) your resume including education background, GPA, courses you have taken at Lamar University, relevant research/working experience, relevant publications, etc. for consideration.

Students who are NOT currently enrolled at Lamar University

• If you are interested in pursuing M.S. with RA opportunities under the guidance of Dr. Liu, please email Dr. Liu (xliu@lamar.edu) your resume including education background (transcripts), GPA, GRE/TOEFL scores, relevant research/working experience, relevant publications, etc. for consideration. PDF files are preferable.

• You need to be admitted by CS Department. Admission decisions are made by the Graduate Committee of CS Department and the Graduate School. Information related to Application for Admission is available on the website of Lamar University Graduate School.

• Dr. Liu cannot reply to every inquiry email due to time limit and the large amount of emails he receives each day. You will be contacted if your interests and background match the needs of Dr. Liu's projects.
