Course Description: back

This is a course designed for the second year college students who are majoring in Computer Science or Mathematics. Our plan is to give students a preliminary mathematical background for further study in their own fields, that includes a general understanding of the concept of Sets, Logic, Relations, Functions, Mathematical Induction, Graphs and Trees. After one semester of study on these subjects, students should be able to do formal mathematical proof at a certain level, that will equipped them a necessary ability to analyze algorithms and other advanced material.
